About Freeriding Korean
Freeriding Korean is a free, independent website that helps people around the world learn Korean — from reading Hangul for the first time to holding real everyday conversations, with a little help from the K-pop culture many learners love.
Our mission
Millions of people started learning Korean because of music, dramas, food or travel. Many of them give up early because good beginner material is scattered, expensive or written only in English. Our mission is simple: make clear, accurate and genuinely useful Korean lessons available for free, in the learner's own language.
Who we are
Freeriding Korean is made by the team behind 프리라이딩 (Freeriding), a Korean education brand that publishes free certification lectures and study information for Korean learners on YouTube. Our motto in Korean is "돈 걱정 없이, 합격까지" — "reach your goal without worrying about money". Freeriding Korean brings the same idea to people around the world who want to learn Korean: high-quality lessons, written by native Korean speakers, completely free.

How our content is made
All lessons are written and reviewed by native Korean speakers. Every Korean sentence is checked for natural, modern usage, and romanization follows the official Revised Romanization of Korean, including the most common pronunciation changes. Explanations are available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian and Vietnamese. If you find a mistake, please tell us through the contact page — we read every message and update lessons regularly.
Respect for artists
We love K-pop, and we respect the people who create it. We never publish song lyrics. Song titles and artist names are mentioned only as factual, educational references, and we encourage learners to enjoy music through official channels. Freeriding Korean is not affiliated with any artist, label or entertainment company.
Free for everyone
There is no sign-up and no paywall. The site is supported by advertising, which allows us to keep every lesson free. Your learning progress is stored only on your own device.
Video lessons
Many of our lessons are also available as video lessons on YouTube. The videos follow the same structure as the written lessons, so you can watch first and then practice here.
